Connie's Neurological Recovery Story at Heartland of Mentor
Connie admitted to Heartland for skilled nursing and intensive therapy following a cerebral aneurysm.
When I first came to Heartland of Mentor, I was scared and didn’t know what to expect. I felt so weak, because I couldn’t walk, I couldn't talk and I needed help with everything. All I wanted was to regain my strength so I could go home.
The nursing staff at Heartland is really great! I have built a very nice rapport with my nurses, Kathy, Michelle and Amber. They are very aware of the medications I receive. They also listen to me and communicate anything regarding my care with myself and my family. My nursing assistants Solomon and Aaron, are so kind and compassionate. They always go above and beyond to take care of my roommate and myself.
I cannot say enough about the therapy department at Heartland of Mentor. The therapists are very encouraging and knowledgeable. They are helping me to improve my overall physical health and well being. I feel so much stronger now. I can write, and I can occasionally walk with a walker. Thank you Heartland of Mentor!"- Connie, Heartland Patient
